GRADE 7 pupils jumped at the challenge to host the best Valentine’s market at Hillcrest Primary School.

They did not disappoint with some creative and cost-effective goods being produced and many delicious treats. The field was abuzz with excitement as the Valentine-clad customers rushed to purchase a special gift for their friends, family, one or two lucky teachers and of course, themselves.

Junior entrepreneurs were kept busy selling for an hour and a half and treated their customers with fairness and respect, even the little Grade 1 pupils. Most of the goods were sold out and the funds raised exceeded previous years.

A portion of the proceeds will go to the Grade 7 outreach project, the Mike Hardwich Trust, which undertakes to spay and neuter dogs from local rural areas. Well done to Grade 7 pupils for their behind-the-scenes effort, putting their business plan into action and the positive vibe you brought to this fun day.
