Is God really in control?

2017-11-07 06:00

HILLCREST Baptist Church will host another event in its “Quest for Truth” series on Friday November 17, at 6pm.

Started just over a year ago, the series examines and answers socially relevant topics from a biblical perspective, and illustrates how the Bible continues to provide guidance through questions that have been asked throughout history.

Past events have covered topics such as “Why do bad things happen to good people?”, and “What happens when we die?”

Given current happenings around the world, the next event in November will answer the question “Is God really in control”. The events adopts an informal approach with a presentation on the topic, followed by a question-and- answer session with the audience, and ends with socialising over a light meal. Entrance is free, but bookings must be made for catering purposes.

To book, go to or phone the church office at 031 765 3750 between 8am and 12pm, Monday to Friday. - Supplied
