Since 2002, Kloof High has been a leading school in teaching computer aided design (Cad) to teachers and pupils in the Pinetown district. The Argus Community College operates at Kloof High in the evenings giving adult education. One the classrooms has now become a fully functional AutoCad room. This room is equipped with 35 computers linked to the internet, a 3D printer, air conditioning, etc. It is also fully secured by armed response and CCTV cameras. The project of upgrading the rooms was handled by the school’s governing body and staff. AutoDesk has allowed for 3 000 pupil versions of AutoCad The pupils of Kloof High will now leave school better equipped with a practical knowledge of AutoCad.
