KZN Kloof Gorge rescue

LAST Sunday afternoon Netcare 911 paramedics and 15 Squadron were activated for a trail runner that had slipped and injured himself in a remote area of the Kloof Gorge. Police search and rescue, the fire department and a volunteer rescue service had hiked to the patient and managed to stabilise him.

The Netcare 911 advanced life support paramedic and 15 Squadron landed in the mountainous area and after the patient was treated, they airlifted him to a specialised hospital in Durban for the care that he required.- supplied
