ST Benedict School hosted their matric prize giving with Dr Amanda Zondo, a past pupil as guest of honour.
The award for the 2016 dux went to Kenan­ Petersen, who also received subject awards for English, Afrikaans, mathematics, history, business studies, economics and life orientation.
Kenan was also awarded full academic honours. The proxime accessit (dux runner-up) was awarded to Amanda Radebe, who also received the subject award for Zulu and full colours for academics.
Jamie Young, the 2016 head girl, won the Fellowship Award, and subject prizes for life sciences, geography and art theory, and was awarded full colours for aAcademics.
The 2016 head boy, Lungelo Kweyama, was awarded full academic colours, as well as winning the subject prize for accounting.
