DEALER Principle Ward Huxtable and sales manager Rodney McDonald chatted to the Fever.

Fever: What is your history in the motor industry?

Ward Huxtable (WH): I have been in the industry for 24 years, 14 years as a Dealer Principle. I have worked mostly in KZN, but the business takes me everywhere.

Rodney McDonald (RM): I have been in the industry for 27 years working in the Durban and Pietermaritzburg areas. I have been a sales manager for 14 years.

Fever: What is one highlight of your career thus far?

WH: For me my focus is growing the business so every day presents a new challenge, together with a highlight. I love this industry as it is an exciting business.

RM: I cannot pinpoint one highlight as this is not a routine job and we have highlights daily. Once the motor industry is in your blood you cannot step away. I never get bored at work.

Fever: What are some of things we will see at Halfway Ford Waterfall in 2017?

WH: We are focusing on getting involved in the community. This year we will also be in involved in the Easter Rugby Festival at Kearsney.

Fever: When you are not in petrol-head mode, what do you do in your spare time?

WH: Off-road racing with Ford, fishing, riding bikes and cycling.

RM: I love the outdoors and enjoy fishing, league squash and I attempt to play golf. I try to keep fit.

Fever: It’s just you, wide open road, no rules and the car of your dreams, which car would that be?

WH: Ford GT

RM: 3.2XLT 4x4 double cab.
