AUTHOR and poet Bernard Harold Curgenven’s life revolves around writing. He has six Facebook groups where he continues to aspire other authors to follow their passion and dreams.

Curgenven writes all forms of poetry, and novels, specialising in comedy, horror and science fiction.

His latest sci-fi series comprises of Fleet which is a full length novel, and the sequels are 10 000 word stories.

He said that the purpose of the shorter sequels is to elaborate on isolated events.

“I believe a story should be short and to the point, and not stretched out and boring,” he said.

He said that he started writing at a very young age - in junior school - and received awards. “I believe that English literature lives on through authors. Our fight is against the extinction of our unique language!”

The father-of-two described the series, which is about humanity and how it was forced to leave the earth and attempted to return sometime later, only to face its doom.

“The original plot takes place upon the Fleet's escape from earth and its venture through space. 'Beyond the Elements' takes us back to the decoy ship that left prior to the Fleet. Its purpose was to distract the enemy. Don't Sleep Here takes us back in time, to the events leading to the Fleet project. 'That Dwelling' directly follows the events in Don't Sleep Here, and the birth of the great war,” he said.

Curgenven said that at the cost of two loaves of bread or one day's paid parking one can download and enjoy this intellectual property.

“My e-books range from poetry to photography to spectacular novels and novellas. They are available for all android devices, kindle, iPads and NOOK devices. Android devices come with the Google-play app for easy downloads, where you can find my ebooks in your own currency,” he added.

“I have also created videos of my book images, book covers and poetry with Youtube. I have author profiles with Google, Amazon, and Bookrix (my publisher),” he said.

To date Curgenven has published 32 books and his latest series of horrors can also be found on Amazon.
