THE “Gatsby polo” event is just around the corner and the community is invited join in on Sunday 5 June at the Shongweni Polo Club.
Socialites and horse lovers can use this opportunity to dress up in the Great Gatsby fashion and enjoy a fun day out in true polo style.

The 1920s in America were known as “the Roaring Twenties”, commemorating a period of celebration after the war and became a period characterised mainly of opulence and prosperity. The Gatsby polo event was inspired to remember these historical years.

Spectators may watch with excitement as top teams from Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Western Cape and the Free State will be competing against each other in true fashion.

The Gatsby Polo event would like to party with a purpose by raising funds from the event, which will go towards furthering education and training to help underprivileged children and give them an opportunity to pursue their goals.

Official vehicle partners will showcase their luxury cars, which will be parked and displayed alongside the field for everyone to enjoy, and a vintage car show will be the highlight of the day.

During the day, a fashion show will host its top fashion partners who will showcase their latest, ready to wear designs and prizes will be awarded for the best dressed.

For the ladies, the Gatsby polo has arranged touch-up stations for their make-up, and hair stylists will be available to treat guests to a truly spoilt experience.

All in all, the Gatsby polo would like everyone to join for a day of stylish fashion, vintage cars, fast horses, glamorous girls, sparkling wine and good food.
