HILLCREST NGO Project Dignity visited Dumisani Makhanye High School recently.

This visit was made possible by the fundraising efforts of various individuals, organisations and educational institutions, namely Inscape Design College, Caity Cocker (Crawford College, North Coast), Melissa Wright (Girls Longboard Crew), Ashton International College and Jean Porter.

All these stakeholders raised enough money to supply 100 Grade 8 girls at the school with a Subz washable and reusable sanitary pack that will last the girls for five years.

The packs includes three pairs of cotton panties, as well as nine washable and reusable sanitary pads.

The young girls were a delighted to spend time with and Brenda McCann from Subz Pants and Pads who spoke to the girls about the changes they will be experiencing in their bodies.
