SAPS make breakthrough in robbery case

2018-04-24 06:00

HILLCREST SAPS have arrested two men for a robbery that occurred in Ngcolosi last week.

According to Hillcrest SAPS communications officer Captain Linzi Smith, the victim, a 39-year-old man, was in his home when he heard a knock on the door. “When the victim opened the door he was accosted by an armed man, who instructed him to get out of the shack.

“Five other men joined the armed man and began ransacking the shack and stealing the valuables,” said Smith.

Smith said that SAPS members received a tip-off regarding the suspects and arrested two of the six men. “The other men are still at large and we are working on information to have them arrested.” She said that anyone with information on the suspects can contact the station anonymously. — Supplied.
