ON Monday evening Netcare 911 paramedics responded to what was reported as a pedestrian crash along Shongweni Road in Hillcrest.

According to paramedics an off-duty security officer was riding his bicycle home when he was hit by a vehicle.

Chris Botha media liaison officer - Netcare 911 said: “The Netcare 911 rescue officer found that the man had sustained moderate injuries. He was treated at the scene before medics transported him to a government hospital.”
