THE Main Group of SPARS - Main SPAR, Sarnia SPAR, Escombe SPAR and Hillary SPAR - sponsored a R250 voucher for Grade 7 Sarnia Primary School soccer players Amahle Mnyandu and Langa Majola.

Amahle and Langa were selected to play for the KZN U13 soccer team recently. Group promotions and advertising spokesperson of the Main Group of SPARS, Tersia Taskes said the Main Group of SPARS are proud of the young budding stars in the community.

“We have decided to acknowledge pupils who have successfully achieved beyond average accomplishments in academics, sports, recreational and community activities. We are proud of the young achievers in our community and would like to recognise them for their outstanding achievements.”

Sarnia Primary Deputy Principal Shelly Heathcote said Amahle has been enthusiastic about sport since Grade 1, although soccer has always been his first love. He has played in the A team in all age groups since U10. In Grade 7 he was selected for the district soccer team and went on to make the U13 KZN soccer team, which toured Limpopo in the July school holidays. Sarnia Primary School is very proud of this delightful young man.

Langa she said, excels at any sport he turns his hand to, but has always loved soccer and jumps at any opportunity to kick a ball around. He has played in the A team since U10 level and was captain of the first team this year. Langa was selected to represent the district soccer side and was selected for the U13 KZN soccer team, which toured Limpopo. Sarnia Primary School is also proud of this talented young sportsman.
