HILLCREST High held their senior speech night on Wednesday, October 11, with guest speaker Matthew
Willman.

Willman, one of South
Africa’s most renowned freelance documentary photo-graphers, was commissioned for official shoots with the Nelson Mandela Foundation in 2004.

Timon de Waal was awarded the Franz Trophy Award for Good Service to the School, The Cobb/Muller Shield for the Best All Rounder, and academic honours for achieving an aggregate of between 80% and 84%.

In addition he shared the academic prize for Afrikaans, the Jordaan Trophy for Afrikaans for a pupil who shows a passion for the language, as well as The Watt Trophy for English for a pupil who shows a passion for the language.

Matthew Legemaate received the SRC Trophy for the Best Ambassador of the School.
