Support SAPS fund-raising golf day

2016-05-24 06:00

THE SAPS Widows and Orphan Fund Golf Day will be held on 8 June at Mount Edgecombe Country Club.

The host for the day will be cricket legend, Mike Procter.

This fund-raising event was initiated 11 years ago with aim of raising funds and awareness for the families of police officials that were killed in the line of duty.

More than 400 families of police officials in KwaZulu- Natal are supported by the fund, which is dependent solely on voluntary contributions of police officials, donations from the public and fund-raising events such as this golf day. Companies from across corporate South Africa have also supported this great cause.

In the spirit of giving, the Widows and Orphans Fund Golf Day committee asks that you join them in raising funds so they can provide further assistance to the families of fallen colleagues. Please pledge your support in the form of sponsorships or donations of a monetary nature or donations of prizes to help the cause.
