EIGHTEEN people were injured when a taxi rolled on the P245 in Inchanga in Monday last week.

ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene shortly before 11am to find the taxi upright on the side of the road. The passengers had already climbed out of the vehicle and were found either walking or lying around on the scene.

Paramedics assessed the patients and found that eighteen people had sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious. Fortunately, no one was critically injured and no fatalities were reported.

The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to nearby provincial hospitals for further care.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations. — Supplied.
