IT feels like it was just last month that I penned my column to bid farewell to 2014 and here I am again, getting ready to say goodbye to 2015.

As the cliché goes: time flies when you're having fun and just like that, 2015 has flown by. Working with the close-knit and unique family that is the Upper Highway area has once again been an amazing journey.

The newspaper is proud to have shared hundreds of remarkable achievements, good memories and some not so good ones with you and doing so has been an honour.

We are proud to say that this year has been a good one for the editorial team.

Journalist Kalisha Naicker was a finalist in the annual Sanlam awards for her excellent stories featured in the Hillcrest Fever.

For this achievement we would like to thank those who gave us the opportunity to tell your story and be part of your amazing achievements in your communities.

Our heartfelt appreciation also goes out to our loyal clients and advertisers who continue to show their support and we hope to go grow these existing relationships and build new ones in the new year.

This season, I hope your homes are filled with joy, laughter and tantalising scents from home cooked delicacies.

I wish you a very happy Christmas and I look forward to sharing more wonderful stories as we get ready for a fantastic 2016.
