Two sentenced for house breaking

TWO men, Philani Mkhize (23) and Zwelihle Shange (21) were each sentenced to 10 years by the Camperdown Regional Court recently.
This after an incident that occurred on May 5, 2016 when the victim aged 51, his wife and son were at their residence in the Harrison area near Inchanga when the two accused stormed into the house.
The victims were threatened with a bush knife and locked in a bedroom. The accused ransacked the house and stole cosmetics, two cell phones and a DVD player. A case of house robbery was opened at Inchanga police station and the docket was transferred to Pinetown Trio Task Team for further investigation.
After investigation by the members of the Task Team the two accused were arrested and charged with house robbery. The accused appeared in court several times before they were finally sentenced. - Supplied.
