HILLCREST detectives arrested the two most wanted suspects, 21-year-old Thalente Maphumulo, and 24-year-old Sibongiseni (Sne) Mbatha, for house breaking and theft in Hillcrest recently.

Constable N. Manqele, Hillcrest SAPS communications officer said that the suspects were arrested after a tip-off.

“We conducted an undercover operation and positively identified the suspects,” he said.

“Two plasma televisions were also recovered by members of trio crime unit. We at Hillcrest believe that by arresting these suspects crime will decrease in the area.”

The duo appeared at Pinetown Court and were remanded in custody for further investigation.

Hillcrest Station Commander commended the good work done by the members and said crime will never be tolerated in Hillcrest.

Manqele urged the community to report criminal cases to Hillcrest police on 031 765 9100 or 086 001 0111.
