PRINCIPAL Jeanette van der Merwe, of Waterfall College, has expressed her delight with the final IEB Matric results, the best to date, of the Class of 2015.

“Our ongoing dedication to academic excellence, small classes and experienced teachers is reflected in these wonderful results. 2015 marks the 10th year of writing IEB Matric examinations at Waterfall College.

“We have built a solid foundation for the school’s future as an institution of academic excellence. Well done to our Matrics and their teachers for the dedication and hard work in producing these excellent results.”

Van der Merwe is particularly pleased that a few of the 2015 Waterfall College Matric pupils were placed within the top 1 per cent of the country for some IEB subjects.

Besides maintaining a consistent 100 percent pass rate, this year has seen an unprecedented percentage of Bachelor Degree passes for the school. In 2014, 70 percent of Matrics achieved a Bachelor Degree Pass, and in 2015 this has increased to 84 percent of Matrics with a Bachelor Degree Pass.

“We continue to aim for a 100 percent Bachelor Degree Pass for Waterfall College. This year has seen the most A’s to date for our Matrics. The pressure on our Matric teachers and students is immense, and we applaud the outstanding progress made this year,” says van der Merwe.

2015 has been a strategic milestone year for Waterfall College as the school announced its plans to work towards the exciting new vision of ‘Waterfall Schools’ – A complete educational journey offering quality independent education from 18 months to 18 years, all on the 40 acre iThemba Campus, spectacularly positioned overlooking the Valley of 1000 Hills. Waterfall Pre-Primary School has moved onto the campus and opens its doors from January 2016 up to Grade R, with the Waterfall Primary School to start from 2017.
“The established academic foundation set by Waterfall College as an independent high school provides parents in the Upper Highway area with a convincing option when selecting schools.
