THE Waterfall community decided to work with the neighbourhood watches for a clean-up of “Whoonga Park” along Link Road in Waterfall recently.

SA Community Crime Watch spokesperson Steven King said it was a nice turnout on the Saturday morning as the community came together to clean up their neighbourhood.

“The reason we came together for a clean-up was because this area is notorious for drug dealing as well as being home to house breakers and whoonga addicts,” said King.

He said eight jobseekers were hired on site. “They were employed on the spot to assist in the clean-up.”

He thanked everyone who made an effort to improve the condition of the park.

“Thanks to Garry Louter for arranging with his guys from Forest Hills 2, Waterfall Educare, MD Toolhire and the SACCW,” said King.

He encouraged the community to contact them and join hands to clean-up other areas in the neighbourhood.
