THE Kouga Council would like to extend a warm welcome to all visitors to the third annual JBay Winterfest.

Whether you are a contender or a supporter, we trust that your time in our beautiful region will be time well spent.

The Winterfest has become one of the biggest winter sports events in South Africa in a short space of time. I would like to recognise the incredible work being done by our local sports community, who remain the backbone of the event.

Jeffreys Bay was recently a finalist in the Kwêla Town of the Year competition. This achievement would not have been possible if it were not for community groups taking hands with the municipality to help develop our region.

The 2015 Winterfest once again promises to offer something for the whole family. We would like to encourage young and old to support and participate in the extensive programme.

May the thrills and spills of the Winterfest warm up what is expected to be another cold July. May your journey to and from home be safe and incident-free, and may Kouga become your favourite winter holiday destination, not only this year but every year
