A young girl from Jeffreys Bay needs the help of Kouga residents to fight a dreadful illness.

Thirteen-year-old Likhona Antoni has been lying in the Intensive Care Unit of a Port Elizabeth hospital for the past two months.

The teen, who would have started her high school career at the new Jeffreys Bay Technical School this year, underwent an operation in August 2014 to drain fluid from her brain.

The surgery proved unsuccessful and the once-lively Likhona is now unable to breathe on her own or to walk, talk and see.

While there is hope that she can recover with the necessary medical care, her parents are unable to pay for further treatment as their medical aid has been exhausted.

A massive fundraising drive has been launched to raise money for her care.

Anyone who can find it in his hearts to make a donation is asked to contact her father, Whitey, at 073 077 0741
