VICTORY Christian School in Jeffreysbaai hou eersdaags die ‘makietie van die jaar’.

Dít alles om die titel van Dorp van die Jaar vir 2015.

Om bewustheid onder inwoners te skep, word ’n groot opskop op 4 Julie by die Victory Christian School gehou. Besoekers aan dié familie pretdag kan uitsien na kos- en kunsstalletjies, plaaslike kunstenaars, ’n honde-skou, aktiwiteite om die kleinspan besig te hou en ’n Oscar-aand.

Jeffreysbaai is die Oos-Kaapse finalis in Kwêla se Dorp van die Jaar-kompetisie vir 2015.

Volgens Therese Benade, inhoudsvervaardiger by Kwêla, word die finaliste asook die wenner suiwer op grond van die publiek se stemme gekies.

Die stemlyne sal eers vanaf 15 Julie aktief wees wanneer al nege streke se dorpsfinaliste bekend is. Die dorp met die meeste stemme word as Kwêla se Dorp van die Jaar aangewys. Die dorp wen R1 miljoen se bemarkingswaarde van kykNET. Homebrew Films, die vervaardigers van Kwêla, sal ’n 30-sekonde-advertensie oor die dorp maak, wat gedurende kykNET se advertensietyd uitgesaai sal word
