Prayer sessions for matriculants

2015-10-08 06:00

KOUGA Municipality will host two prayer sessions for matriculants in preparation of their final school examinations.

All matriculants, their parents, caregivers, educators, spiritual and community leaders are invited to attend.

The first session will take place at the Kruisfontein Civic Centre in Humansdorp at 18:00 on October 14. The second session will be held at the Dan Sandi Hall in Ramaphosa Village in Patensie at 18:00 on October 15.

Kouga Speaker Magdalene Dlomo says that the matric prayer session was a highlight of Council’s annual programme.

“Matriculants tend to be under a lot of pressure to perform well in their final exam. As adults, it is our responsibility to let them know that we are there for them in any way we can during this important time,” says Dlomo.

“They don’t have to face the exams alone. Even when they are in the exam hall, there is a Higher Power who knows and loves them in totality, regardless of what the outcome might be.”
