JAN Weys, hoofbestuurder van SSK en vooralige besturende direkteur van Tuinroete Agri, het einde April die tuig by SSK Agriland neergelê.

“Jan is ’n man wat nooit van ek praat nie, maar altyd van ons. Hy het sterk Christelike beginsels en waardes, asook onwrikbare integriteit,” sê SSK Agriland Menslike Hulpbronne Bestuurder Annelie van Wyk.

Volgens Annelie is Jan ’n bobaas bestuurder, mentor, kollega en vriend - ’n wyse man.

In sy 11 jaar by Tuinroete Agri vermag hy en sy span die volgende:

. TRA omset groei van R196 miljoen na R697 miljoen en wins na belasting groei van R2,5 miljoen na R22 miljoen.

. Die aantal takke in TRA groei van 8 na 18.

. TRA aandeelhouers het met die oorname deur SSK en oor ‘n pe-riode van 10 jaar inkomste van ongeveer R5.15 per aandeel verdien teenoor ‘n aandeelprys van 27 sent sowat 12 jaar gelede.

. In 2008 ontvang hy The Herald/NMMU Business School se besigheidspersoon van die jaar toekenning.

. In 2008 word die LBK by TRA gevoeg en in 2013 is Jan deel van die span wat die SSK oorname van TRA suksesvol afhandel.

. Byna al die eiendomme van TRA is die afgelope 11 jaar wesentlik opgradeer tot voordeel van landbouers en ander kliënte.
