WOODLANDS Dairy, one of the largest manufacturers of UHT milk in South Africa, milked top awards at prestigious events in April.

Woodlands, situated in Humansdorp, was awarded the coveted SA Dairy Champion Award for its First Choice Butter at the pre-stigious DuPont Qualité Awards Dinner in Cape Town on April 22.

They also walked away with awards for their First Choice Baby Gouda, Mild Cheddar and Processed Cheese.

At the Bloem Show 2015, Woodlands triumphed with their Baby Gouda Cheese and Feta Cheese. They took second place in the Matured Cheddar, Cryovac Rindless Gouda, Acidified Full Cream Milk and Low Fat Flavoured Milk categories, and also took the third spot with their Low Fat Flavoured Milk. They furthermore received a trophy for their outstanding products.

“Achieving top marks on an international scorecard is a great achievement for our brand. We continuously strive to be the most admired dairy company in Africa in all aspects of the business. Woodlands Dairy employs in excess of 1000 employees and this accolade belongs to each of those individuals who strive for excellence each day,” says Tinus Pretorius, Woodlands General Mana-ger, Sales and Marketing.

The objective of the SA Dairy Champion Award is to continuously improve the quality of dairy products and to measure products against each other. The SA cham- pions are winners in each of the 95 classes in the eight categories, namely cheese, butter, yoghurt, dairy dessert, cottage cheese, ice cream, cultured and flavoured milk and dairy dips.

The award recognises and rewards manufacturers who have achieved remarkable quality in their products and to make these products recognisable to consumers
