THE Curt Alchin Memorial Race will take place at Victoria Raceway in Victoria Drive, Walmer, Port Elizabeth on Saturday, January 23.

Curt Alchin was a multiple South African champion in oval racing and other facets, and passed away tragically on January 28, 2012 while competing in a V8 American Saloon race.

Victory Raceway would like to honour his legacy in hosting a memorial race in remembrance of a motorsport legend.

Classes to compete are Development, 1660’s, 2.1 Modifieds, Heavy Metals, Hot Rods and American Saloons.

Braai facilities will be available as well as food stalls.

The gates open at 15:00 and racing starts at 18:00. The entry fee is R50 for adults and R10 for children under 13, while track parking costs R20 per vehicle.
