FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY

The Friends of the Library outlet, The Book End, at the Newton Hall in Goede Hoop Street, Jeffreys Bay is open from 09:00 to 12:00 every Tuesday and Friday, as well as every last Saturday of the month. Volunteers are invited to get involved by assisting for three hours a week. The Friends of the Library appeal to the community for help to take a load of old books and magazines to the recycling plant in Deal Party, Port Elizabeth for pulping. The recycling of the old material brings in extra funds, which are used to buy new books for the Jeffreys Bay Library.

INA’S TWINKLE TOES

Ina’s Twinkle Toes Linedance classes take place as follows: absolute beginners at 43 Palm Crescent on Mondays from 09:00 to 10:00, beginners at the Jeffreys Bay Bowling Club on Fridays from 08:30 to 09:30, beginners/ high beginners at the Jeffreys Bay Bowling Club on Wednesdays from 08:30 to 09:30, improver/ intermediate at the Jeffreys Bay Bowling Club on Wednesdays and Fridays from 09:30 to 10:30. JBAY GOLF CLUB

The Jeffreys Bay Golf Club will host their Chicken Run Golf Day from 07:00 to 15:00 every Friday. Players pay for nine holes, and get nine free. Rotisserie chicken vouchers from Woolworths are up for grabs. The green fees are R55. Contact Len from the JBay Golf Club at 042 293 2532.

BRIDGE CLUB

The Jeffreys Bay Bridge Club meets at Jeffreysrus at 13:00 on Mondays and at 18:00 on Tuesdays. They meet at the Baptist Church to play duplicate bridge at 13:00 on Thursdays. Teaching available for beginners, if required. Contact Stan Horwell at 083 254 4463 or Liedy Coetzer at 082 788 2008.

ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS

The Alcoholics Anonymous & Narcotics Anonymous meet as follows: Humansdorp every Monday at 19:00, St Francis Bay every Tuesday at 17:30 and Jeffreys Bay every Friday at 18:30. Contact 083 411 8126 or 079 826 6845.

EBFLO FLOWER CLUB

ECFAA President Jill Hoskins will present a demonstration at the Ebflo Flower Club at the Nederduitsche Hervormde Kerk in AD Keet Street, Jeffreys Bay at 09:30 on Wednesday, October 24. The entry fee is R30 per person and includes tea and something to eat.

SAVA

Die Suid-Afrikaanse Vereniging vir Afgetredenes (SAVA) vergader op Donderdag, 18 Oktober om 10:00 by die Rolbalklub in Jeffreysbaai. Geni Peters van Air-dried Veg & Fruit in Jeffreysbaai praat oor Dried Fruit - Taste the Difference. Almal is welkom. Skakel Jacky Opperman by 042 296 0193.

MILKWOOD MARKET

The Milkwood Market between Global Leadership Academy and Fountains Mall, takes place from 08:00 to 13:00 every Saturday. Join the market for food, crafts, fresh vegetables, pony rides, bungee bouncer, jumping castle and paintball. There will be live music every last Saturday of the month. NANAGAFEES

Nanaga Primary School’s annual fundraiser, the Nanagafees, will take place at the Nanaga Farm Stall from 10:00 on Saturday, October 20. This event, featuring Elvis Blue, is a fun family day filled with kids entertainment, live music, stalls, and food and drinks. Tickets cost R120 for adults and R60 for children under 12.
