Fancy Pigeon Association to hold show

2017-05-04 06:01

THE Eastern Cape Fancy Pigeon Association will hold their annual regional fancy pigeon show at Altona Primary School in Greenbushes, Port Elizabeth from 08:00 to 14:00 on May 13.

  • Th.

“Beginners are advised to select a breed with a tame nature,” says Cape Fancy Pigeon Secretary Nic Hanekom. “Stick with clean leg breeds with normal beak lengths. Breeds with abnormal ornaments (crest and muffs), as well as breeds with very short beaks should be left to the experienced fancier. Guard against the urge to start off with too many breeds. Try to visit a number of shows and breeders before you make your choice.”

Entrance to the show is free.
