Fun run galore this festive season

ON your marks, get set, run!

Kouga Multi Sport is set to host two fun run events this holiday season.

First at the starting blocks is the Drommedaris Holiday Run that will take to the streets on December 19. The race consists of a 10km run and a 5km fun run or walk and will start and finish at Drommedaris situated in Drommedaris Street, Jeffreys Bay.

Various cash prizes will be up for grabs, as well as plenty of appliances and lucky draw prizes.

Prize-giving is at 09:00 and winners must be present to claim their prize.

Both of the races will start at 07:00 and entries can be done at www.entrytime.co.za or on the day from 05:00, as well as at Drommedaris from 18:00 on December 18. The entry fee is R50 for the 10km run and R30 for the 5km fun run. A temporary licence of R30 is required for the 10km run if runners are not members of a running club.

The first 150 online entrants, will receive a T-shirt.

The water points are sponsored by Huizemark and Smhart Security.

The annual Woodlands Dairy race will kick-start the new year on a high note. The 15km road run and 6km trail run, as well as the 600m Mini Moo Dash for children under 9 will take place on January 2, 2016.

The 15km road run will start at 06:30, followed by the trail run at 06:45 and the Mini Moo Dash at 09:00 at Mentors Estate.

Participants can enter at www.entrytime.co.za, or on the day of the races from 05:00. The first 200 online entrants will receive a T-shirt.

The entry fee is R50 for the 15km run, R30 for the 6km trail run and R20 for the Mini Moo Dash. A temporary licence of R30 is required for the 60km run if runners are not members of a running club. All the finishers will receive a medal. The top runners of the road race will walk away with cash prizes, while the winners of the other two races will win vouchers. Lucky draw prizes will also be up for grabs.

The water points will be manned by Huizemark, Just Water, Plumflo and Standard Bank.
