Grace period for residents to pay municipal debt

2017-06-08 06:00

RESIDENTS whose municipal accounts are overdue have until June 20, 2017 to settle their debt or make arrangements to pay it off.

Kouga Executive Mayor Elza van Lingen says the municipality would be putting its credit control measures on hold until then.

“The municipality will not be cutting/blocking electricity until June 20 so as to allow affected residents the opportunity to pay their outstanding balance.

“The municipality will, however, start cutting/blocking electricity again from June 21.”
