2018-03-08 06:01

THE Friends of the Baviaanskloof will head to Smitskraal to clear an area of its alien species during the weekend of March 9 to 11.

Members of the public with an interest in lending a hand in hacking alien species are welcome to join in the operation. Volunteers need to bring along their own camping gear and equipment like gloves and pangas. Travelling is also for your own account.

The group will be travelling through on Friday, March 9, and return on Sunday, March 11. The facilities are basic and for camping only. Travel time is approximately three hours in total from Jeffreys Bay and you need to reach the gate at Cumbria by 17:00. No access will be allowed after 17:00.

If you would like to travel in convoy, a rendezvous will be arranged on the Friday afternoon. All interested in joining need to RSVP by Wednesday, March 7, to Chantal at wigtsm@gmail.com or WhatsApp 061 504 2540.

Your name need to be on the ECPTA list to gain access to the area.
