HUMANSDORP made a clean sweep at the 2017 Mayor’s Cup, with clubs from the town taking top honours in the soccer, netball and rugby tournaments.

A total of 67 teams from across Kouga entered the 2017 Mayor’s Cup, the first to be held under the auspices of Executive Mayor Elza van Lingen.

City All Stars were crowned the soccer champions, Poison Ivy took the netball trophy and Kruisfontein United successfully defended their rugby title.

Mayor Van Lingen congratulated the winners and thanked all participants for contributing to the success of the tournaments.

“For me, there were no losers, as all matches took place in good spirit. Sport was the winner at the end of the day,” she said.
