Umasipala uye wabinza ngamalaphu kwakunye nezinye izinto zokuthunga ezixabisa ama-R28 000, kumaqela amabini omthungo ngoAugust. Ezi zipho bezibandakanya amalaphu empahla yesintu neyesikolo, iirhali, iintsimbi zehombo neminye imihombiso.

Support for sewing cooperatives

KOUGA Municipality has boosted the fortunes of two local sewing cooperatives.

The municipality donated sewing material, valued at R28 000, to the two groups in August. The material included fabric for traditional attire and school uniforms, sewing thread, beads and other accessories.

The women-run projects are Bayahluma from Jeffreys Bay and Uzuko Lwethu from Hankey.

The choice of items was based on specific requests by the groups.

TWEE naaldwerkgroepe het ‘n hupstoot van die Kouga-munisipaliteit gekry.

Die koöperatiewe het material, gare en ander benodigdhede ter waarde van R28 000 van die munisipaliteit af ontvang.

Die skenking sal gebruik word vir die maak van tradisionele klere en skooluniforms.

Die groepe, beide onder leiding van vrouens, is Bayahluma van Jeffreysbaai en Uzuko Lwethu van Hankey.
