J’Bay sewer plant being cleaned

2018-03-29 06:01

KOUGA Municipality would like to apologise to residents for the occasional bad odours emanating from the Jeffreys Bay Waste Water Treatment Works.

“The municipality is busy cleaning the plant and, unfortunately, the smell is an unavoidable part of the process,” said Kouga Infrastructure and Engineering Portfolio Councillor Freddy Campher.

The waste water treatment works is situated just off the R102 between Jeffreys Bay and Humansdorp.

Campher said the smell should lift within the next week.
