RIEGHARD and Eidie Janse van Rensburg, also known as RRAD Photography. are proud to present the 2016 Jeffreys Bay eXtreme [JBayX] 2-day/ 3-stage Trail Run.

The JBayX is unique in concept, entailing 3 individual 20Km Trail Runs, all starting 12-hours apart, showcasing the best of the Jeffreys Bay area. The total distance covered will be just over 60km and will surely test the ‘mettle’ and endurance of all participants.

All three events will start and finish at Impala Ranch, with two new exciting 20km routes specifically designed for the 2016 edition of the JBayX.

A 5Km ‘Fun’ Night Trail Run/ Walk will be presented at 19:30 on July 16, as well as a slightly more challenging 10km trail run at 07:20 on July 17. Both these events will be suitable for families and first time trail runners.

Full event schedule

  • 15 July from 16:00 - 18:00: Late registration and number collection
  • 16 July at 07:00: 20km ‘Turbine’ Trail Run [±350m elevation]
  • 16 July at 19:00: 20km ‘Impala’ Night Trail Run [±400m elevation]
  • 16 July at 19:20: 5km ‘Fun’ Night Trail Run/Walk [±100m elevation]
  • 17 July at 07:00am: 20km ‘Roller Coaster’ Trail Run [±600m elevation]
  • 17 July at 07:20: 10km ‘Impala’ Trail Run [±240m elevation]

Online entries have closed. Late entries will be accepted at the registration venue 45 minutes prior to the start of any individual event on July 15.

Late registration, as well as number collection, will take place at the Jeffreys Bay National Sea Rescue Institute located in the MTN Tower on Diaz Road, between the Municipal Library and De Viswijf Restaurant (S34 03’26,14” E024 55’25,14) from 16:00 to 18:00 on July 15.

Impala Ranch is located ±7.5km outside Jeffreys Bay on the Kabeljous River road. Look out for the Impala Ranch sign boards on the R102. The GPS coordinates are S33 57’49,06” E024 51’45,76”
