BEKENDE fotograaf en direkteur van Green Door Creative van Jeffreysbaai, Ernst Ohlhoff, se medemenslikheid is beloon toe hy onlangs uitgenooi is om in Maart vanjaar troufoto’s in Switserland te gaan neem.

Nadat Raphaël Burkhalter van Switserland en sy vriende se motor verlede jaar in Da Ga-mastraat in ’n botsing betrokke was, het Ernst by hom betrokke geraak. Die ongeluk op 12 Februarie het medelandgenoot Alena Hübscher se lewe geëis en Raphaël met ernstige beserings gelaat. Die 20-jarige Burkhalter is kort daarna terug Switserland toe om te herstel en het in Julie teruggekeer om sy Timion-diensjaar te voltooi. Ohlhoff, wat vroeër die Switser ingespan het vir oorklankingswerk in Frans, het hom ná die ongeluk bygestaan met vervoer, hospitaalbesoeke en selfs met ’n besigtigingstoer van die tuinroete. Sy verloofde, Maude Sollberger, het hom in die hersteltydperk besoek en was deel van die toer.

Toe die Switserse paartjie se troudatum naderkom, was Ohlhoff hul logiese keuse as fotograaf. Hy sal op hulle onkoste Switserland toe vlieg en vir twee weke daar vertoef.

Ohlhoff, visuele mediaspesialis in die veld van video-verfilming en -redigering, en ’n bekende by veral groot geleenthede soos die Billabong-branderrykompetisie, se foto’s het al in ZigZag, SA se enigste branderry-tydskrif, verskyn. Hy het ook al op uitnodiging in Skotland droom-troufoto’s gaan neem.
