Karate kids excel

SIX karateka from Gamtoos Valley excelled at the Ashihara National Karate Championships held in Cape Town on May 12.

Yonela Tshazibane landed a second place in kumite, while Xolani Junior Mthana secured a third place in kata and kumite respectively.

Onako Mthana came first in kata and second in kumite, while Kayden Mei was placed second in kata and first in kumite. Jessica Mntambo achieved a third place in kata, and Chadley Mei triumphed in kata and kumite taking the second and first place respectively.
