Die Kouga-munisipaliteit het begin om karavaanparke en kampeerplekke in die gebied op te knap ten einde besoekers terug na hierdie fasiliteite te lok.

Opknapping- en instandhoudings-werk is reeds onderweg by die Jeffreysbaai en Pellsrus-karavaanparke.

Horatio Hendricks, Kouga-burgemeester, sê die parke is waardevolle bates wat vir lank afgeskeep is.

“As ons meer besoekers na Kouga wil lok, moet ons goeie standaarde by ons blyplekke handhaaf en waarde-vir-geld bied.

“Ons wil hê dat besoekers hul tyd in Kouga geniet en hul ervaring met ander deel sodat ons toerisme-getalle kan groei.”
