2016-11-03 06:01

THE annual three-day Kruisfontein Rugby Festival is set to kick off on November 3.

Former Springbok Bolla Conradie and the Kouga Sports Council will host a rugby development programme for players in the Kouga region.

The highlight of the festival is the Legends Cup on November 5. Leading Eastern Province Clubs will battle it out for top honours at the Kruisfontein Sports Complex.

Now in its third year, the festival attracted clubs from all over South Africa.

With a total of R26 000 prize money up for grabs, defending champions, Spring Rose from Port Elizabeth, will put up a fierce battle to keep the winning trophy.

They will play against the likes of Humansdorp United, Jeffreys Bay United and Patensie Barbarians.

The festival is presented by the Kruisfontein Rugby Club, in partnership with Woodlands Dairy and South African Breweries.
