ACCORDING to Williams, the DA will prioritise the cleaning up of the various towns in Kouga.

“We will furthermore start working on the new Integrated Development Plan (IDP), which will reflect the DA’s manifesto, as well as the adjustment budget. These documents will be presented to Council in January 2017, as per legislation.”

Williams continued that high on their priority list is to upgrade Kouga’s infrastructure, to root out and eliminate corruption and to create an environment for investment. “This will lead to job creation in Kouga.

In a bid to improve service delivery to residents, the DA will dedicate at least 8% of the budget to repairs and maintenance. They will furthermore access funding to upgrade the current infrastructure, which will in turn enable them to unlock various housing projects.

“We will also start to fix the potholes and sewage spills which are prevalent all over Kouga,” says Williams.
