Operation Smile to visit Jeffreys Bay

2016-06-02 06:00

DEDICATED to help improve the health and lives of children and young adults born with a cleft lip or cleft palate, Operation Smile South Africa, a non-profit organisation, will be raising awareness of this and the access to free surgery as it embarks on a provincial roadshow from June 6 to June 17 across the Eastern Cape and Kwa-Zulu Natal.

They will visit Jeffreys Bay on June 9.

“I will be visiting clinics and health promo-ters across the provinces as we seek to make people aware of the fact that we can help them and their children,” says Itumeleng Ramano, programme coordinator for Operation Smile South Africa.

The aim is to provide free, safe reconstructive surgery to those born with cleft lip, cleft palate and facial deformities.

Potential patients and anyone interested in the campaign can contact the organisation through its toll-free number 08000SMILE (76453) or send an email to Itumeleng.Ramano@operationsmile.org.
