Power off at Humansdorp this weekend

2019-06-13 06:01

ANOTHER big power interruption has been scheduled for Humansdorp this weekend.

Kouga Infrastructure and Engineering Portfolio Councillor Freddy Campher says the electricity supply to the whole town will be interrupted from 08:00 to 16:00 on Sunday, 16 June.

Affected areas include Boskloof, KwaNomzamo, the Central Business District, industrial area and Kruisfontein.

“The interruption is necessary to complete the electrification project at Kruisfontein,” he says.

Campher reminded residents to treat all electrical appliances and outlets as live during the interruption.

The shutdown is subject to the weather, with the alternative date having been set for the following Sunday, June 23.
