Quiksilver Junior Pro & Roxy Junior Pro: New kids on the block QUIKSILVER JUNIOR PRO & ROXY JUNIOR PRO

2016-06-30 06:00

THE Quiksilver Junior Pro & Roxy Junior Pro are two new events taking place at this year’s JBay Winterfest. Junior surfing is one of the most important elements in the make-up of our sport in South Africa, and our junior surfers need to be nurtured and coached so that one day they too will be competing on Championship Tour events at Supertubes.

Magnatubes, just around the corner from Supertubes, is a great venue for a junior event, and last year the surf spot delivered excellent waves for the entire Winterfest period. The junior surfers, both boys and girls, are in for a treat at this event, and will be able to show the judges their skills and talents on this perfect right-hander.

Quiksilver has once again shown their commitment to junior surfing in the country, and are excited about hosting this tournament.

The surfing

divisions are:

  • Quiksilver JBay Junior Pro

Boys u.18, u.16, u.14 and u.12 – SSA PST 3A rated

  • Roxy JBay Junior Pro

Girls u.18, u.16 and u.14 – SSA PST 3A rated

Date: July 8 - 10 at Magnatubes
