’n Drie dae-oue babameisie wat glo langs die N2 gelaat is, is waarskynlik danksy rylopers gered.

Rylopers het verlede Donderdagmiddag omstreeks 13:30 ’n baba langs die N2 naby Jeffreysbaai in ’n bos hoor huil en ondersoek ingestel.

Die baba is na bewering in ’n plastieksak onder ’n bos aan-getref.

Ao. Basil Seekoei, polisiewoordvoerder, sê die ma van die baba is twee ure later vir poging tot moord en kinderverlating in hegtenis geneem.

Seekoei bevestig dat die baba ’n mediese ondersoek in die Isivivana Hospitaal in Humansdorp ondergaan het, en dat haar lewe tans buite gevaar is.

Die ma van die baba het Maandag in die Humansdorp-landdroshof verskyn.
