THE annual high-action and fun-filled My-Spar Mountain Bike Classic (MTB) is set to hit the dirt roads on May 7 this year.

Hosted by Zuurbron Bike Park, the family event will take place in the majestic setting of Jacques and Liesje Steenkamp’s farm on the R330 between Humansdorp and Hankey.

With no lack of choice, there is a tailor-made mountain bike route catering for each individual’s skill level:

  • A challenging 60km for the skilled and very fit;
  • A less technical, but challenging enough, 40km for the reasonably fit;
  • A non-technical 20km for the younger enthusiasts (and entry-level participants); and
  • A 10km fun ride.

Some R16 000 in prize money is up for grabs.

For those more comfortable on their feet - don’t forget the 10km fun farm run/walk.

Jumping castles, food stalls, a coffee bar, face painting, sand art and cold craft beer are on offer to ensure that both participants and spectators enjoy the day.

The MySpar MTB Classic is known for its amazing lucky draw prizes, tailor made routes with breathtaking views, beautiful venue and fantastic vibe.

Early bird entries are open until April 3 at

The first 200 entrants will receive a waterproof mobile phone cover.
