THE South African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds (SANCCOB) in Cape St Francis offers a fun-filled holiday programme.

Kicking off the festivities is their annual benefit auction at Mauro’s Italian Restaurant in Port St Francis on December 15 to raise funds for their seabird centre.

The event offers guests a chance to bid on spectacular prizes and unique getaway experiences. Warren Manser will be the MC for the evening, while the local folk-duo, Digby and the Lullaby, will provide the entertainment.

The auction starts at 17:30 for 18:00 and the dress code is smart/ casual. Tickets cost R350 per person and include welcome drinks and a three-course gourmet meal paired with wines.

Bookings can be made online at ww.sanccob.co.za/benefit-auctions or at SANCCOB’s centre next to Seal Point Lighthouse.

On December 23 from 20:00 to 23:00 SAMA-nominated Gerald Clark will be rocking for penguins at Rock Lily in aid of SANCCOB.

Tickets cost R100 per person and are available at Rock Lily in St Francis Bay.

There will be a Penguin Charity Golf Day from 07:00 to 09:00 and from 11:00 to 13:00 at the St Francis Bay Golf Club in Lyme Road on December 26. The format is that of the very popular Better-Ball Stableford.

The entry fee is R300 per player. Contact the St Francis Bay Golf Club at 042 294 0467.

On December 29 there will me a New Moon Run at 19:30 for 20:00.The 5km run/walk kicks off at the main parking area in Cape St Francis Main Beach. Entry fee is a donation in aid of SANCCOB and can be paid on the evening.
