RED, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet . . . all the colours of the rainbow and more . . .

Yes, it is that time of the year when residents can throw caution in the wind and have their daily coiffure transformed into a bright pink or silvery spots with a dash of peacock.

Or why not be bold and go bald?

Go bald and colourful next weekend in support of the third annual Kouga Express Cansa Shavathon. All it will cost you are a few minutes of your time, a few Rands out of your wallet and maybe your hair as well.

Residents keen to show their support for this fun-filled, yet meaningful event, can venture down to Fountains Mall from 10:00 on March 5 where the Kouga Express team in conjunction with Fountains Mall, Beautique Salon and Cansa Jeffreys Bay, will be waiting to shave, cut or spray their hair a multitude of colours.

Ponytails of 25cm in length or longer will go towards making wigs for cancer patients in need. Hair in a pony tail can also be donated before the event.

Last year a whopping R6 650 was raised on the day. It is hoped that over R8 000 will be raised this year.

Financial donations beforehand are also more than welcome. Donations can be made to Absa Bank, Cansa SA, account number 115 714 0058, reference Shavathon 2016 Jbay. Kindly email a copy of the donation slip to Monique.Basson@media24.com or fax it to 042 293 3957.

All funds raised will go towards research to help find a cure for cancer, as well as to assist cancer patients in financial need.
