READY, steady build! - whether it is a bulldozer, a house, a wheelbarrow, a giant burger or a colourful tea cup.

As long as it crosses the finish line in record time. Again and again.

The tenth annual Global Leadership Academy (GLA) Trolley Pro for 2019 is picking up speed: the teams are assigned and learners are planning to come up with unique ideas for the best looking and fastest trolley in the Kouga region.

Eighteen well-known businesses will line up at Fountains Mall at 09:00 on April 27 to go head-to-head, battling it out for top-honours as the winning team of the ultimate trolley race.

Racers need to be tough and fast to get into the final round, as only the top five teams will advance to the last round.

And it will be no easy feat. First-time competitors Stokker & Associates will pull out all the stops to defend their winning title of 2018. Also set to compete for the first place are runner-ups Jeffreys Bay SuperSpar and second runner-ups Top Trusses.

The competition does not end there.

Summertree Civils will raise the standards to be named the Best Pit Stop for the third consecutive year, as well as the winner of the Best Trolley via votes from the public.

Also to return to the battle field are old favourites such as True Technologies, Fountains Mall, Woodlands Dairy, Pick ’n Pay, Slater’s Toy Magic and Jeffreys Bay Superspar.

Newcomers to the Trolley Pro include CTU Training Solutions, First Light Coffee Bar, Pet and Pool Warehouse and Tiger Wheel and Tyre.

Vote

The public can vote for their favourite trolley on the Kouga Express Facebook Page.

The winning class of the best trolley will receive a R1 000 Fountains Mall voucher.

To vote, visit the Kouga Express Facebook Page - Kouga Express - and ‘Like’ your favourite trolley.

Voting opens at 12:00 on April 14, and ends at 15:00 on April 27.

Trolleys will be on display at Fountains Mall from 13:00 on Saturday, April 13.
