Trashy Fashion Show takes to the ramp this Friday

2016-09-01 06:00

GREEN is the new black - at least at the trash-iest fashion show in town that is back for its fifth year.

The annual Global Leadership Academy (GLA) Trashy Fashion Show is set to take place at the GLA Eco School Campus next to Fountains Mall at 18:00 on September 2.

This is a day when young designers will show their fashion-forward outfits made from used materials and accessories. The fun event calls for designers and their teams to dream up sophisticated, outrageous and even trendy fashions made from recyclable materials only.

“The show is aimed at encouraging youth and adults of all ages to get creative and design outfits made entirely from recyclable materials for a chance to win great prizes,” says event organiser Lizette Kemp.

“All fashion show entries may contain only recyclable material such as tin, cans, metal, plastics and paper.”

Apart from the fashion show, there will be a night market. For more information, contact Lizette Kemp at 082 323 4491 or send an email to kemplizette@yahoo.com.
